Mother of Pearl is the inner layer of a sea shell and was widely used for the production of jewellery during the 19th century. It continued in popularity particularly during the middle of the last century. This is a beautiful example hand carved with the addition of a pearl centrally placed and a quality firmly placed C clasp to the back. Overall dimension is 6cms x 4cms.
